View this email in your browser   February 10, 2023   February is also Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month     News You Can Use     A Proclamation on National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, 2023 The White House  When we teach teens about healthy, nonviolent relationships, we support their development and create safer, healthier communities for everyone.     California coalition lobbies Legislature to curb teen domestic and sexual violence The Sacramento Bee The California Partnership to End Domestic Violence is a statewide coalition dedicated to deepening the process of healing by identifying and addressing the underlying and contributing factors of domestic violence through public policy, according to the organization’s website.     Teen Dating Violence  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention  Teen dating violence (TDV), also called, “dating violence”, is an adverse childhood experience that affects millions of young people in the United States.  Dating violence can take place in person, online, or through technology.     What to Expect When You Contact Us: Your safety always comes first  National Domestic Violence Hotline  Every contact to The Hotline is personal. Some people who reach out to us identify as survivors of abuse, some as concerned friends or family members, some as abusive partners seeking to change themselves. Many people may be unsure of what to expect when you contact us.
